SEI is pleased to announce the release of BARJOIST, a new Windows based program developed to assist design professionals in the evaluation and selection of standard open web steel joists for structural applications.  The program utilizes joist load capacity and bridging data published by the Steel Joist Institute and includes vibration analysis based on the procedures of the Steel Joist Institute's Technical Digest No. 5.

It includes K, LH, and DLH series joists and handles spans from 8 ft. to 144 ft.  A list of joists meeting the User's selection criteria is displayed for further analysis by the program or for final  decision by the User.  Both on-screen and hard copy output are provided.
